As a global brand, Lansinoh needed a unified approach to manage its extensive network of regional websites. A centralised system was essential for handling new product launches, content updates, and resource sharing across diverse markets. At the same time, each regional site required flexibility to operate independently, managing its own locally relevant content and updates.
Solution
A non-public central hub was established to allow seamless content management across all regional sites. The hub enabled global content updates to be selectively pushed to any site, while local administrators could also pull specific updates as needed. This two-way sync system maintained uniform brand messaging across regions while giving each site the autonomy to tailor content locally. With distinct sections for consumer and healthcare professional content, the platform could meet varied audience needs while keeping professional resources separate, ensuring compliance and clarity both on the backend and frontend.

However, WordPress’s default ID-based system was not practical for ensuring consistency, as ID numbers varied across markets, leading to potential mismatches. A universal reference system was essential to manage linked data effectively and maintain consistent content across both the consumer and healthcare sections.
Solution
To maintain consistency across sites, a custom identifier system was developed, allowing content to be synchronised across markets without dependency on WordPress’s ID system. This unique identifier enabled precise referencing for all linked data, from product entries to multimedia assets, ensuring a unified experience across regions. By incorporating this system, Lansinoh could manage content separately for consumer and healthcare professional sections, avoiding data mismatches and supporting its global network of sites.
