Alex Alexander describes his work as “… a collage of moments, unconscious perfection, drowning in an endless melancholy outside of time and place; … dreams, in a shape of seductive simplicity, into a square frame and let you feel the glimpse … the vision …”
Our idea was to create a visual identity that can represent the artist but, at the same time, the photography in the commercial environment. We have taken a close look at the core concepts of Alex’s photography and discovered that it is “ uncompromisingly analogue”. In this case, the logo needed to be personal, classy, with a modern edge, monochrome, thus a monogram. The stylised “double A” fits perfectly with the photography style and it is easy recognisable as the artist’s trade mark.
